Transforming Moments

For 18-year-old Bryan, Children's Hospital was where he regained his independence after a severe car accident. For 1-year-old Susie, it was where she transitioned from being tube-fed to learning how to eat by mouth. And for 3-year-old Jacob, it was where he came for weekly physical therapy that allowed him to take his first steps with a walker.

While Children's Hospital can be different things to different people, one thing remains the same for each family—a high level of care and commitment to the patient and their health. Annually our staff of pediatric specialists sees nearly 8,000 children, with needs varying from long-term inpatient care to short-term outpatient visits.

In order to gain a better understanding of what we do here and why this hospital has operated in Richmond for more than 80 years, we invite you to learn more about the children we serve each day by reading about their transforming moments.
