About Children's Hospital Foundation

Children’s Hospital Foundation, a supporting entity of Children’s Hospital, leads the philanthropic programs that are designed to support the on-going needs of the hospital. Founded over 80 years ago, Children’s Hospital has relied upon the financial support of individuals throughout our community and beyond to continue our mission of caring for children.

For many years, the Andrea della Robbia image of the Holy Infant’s welcoming arms (pictured above) has symbolized the compassionate care extended to so many through the hospital and supported by our Foundation. The legacy of the della Robbia’s “open arms extended to those in need” lives on and reminds us of our mission to this day.

Whether it is time, skills or financial support, the gifts of the community truly are what enable Children’s Hospital Foundation to continue in its mission of supporting the hospital.

The Foundation is governed by a separate Board of Directors who oversee the distribution of the funds to the hospital. The funds contained within the Foundation consist of various named endowed funds as well as those funds which are applied for unrestricted purposes.

The staff of Children’s Hospital Foundation works each day to support the activities and initiatives of Children’s Hospital. I would like to invite you to learn more about our Foundation and how you can be a part of our on-going work. Your participation could take many forms, including being involved as a volunteer, organizing an event in your office, introducing our Wishing Well Program in your school, holding a child’s birthday party as a part of the Peter Pan Network or making a personal financial gift.
