Ways You Can Help – Advocacy

Legislative Advocacy Activities

Capital Region Caucus

Made up of area legislators, local government officials and business leaders, the Caucus meets quarterly to discuss regional issues and is organized by the Chamber of Commerce. Children's Hospital of Richmond hosts this group on an annual basis and is able to address the Caucus on issues of importance to the hospital.

Capitol Hill Advocacy Days

Three times a year Children's Hospital of Richmond participates in the National Association of Children's Hospitals (NACH) Advocacy Days on Capitol Hill, providing an opportunity for representatives from Children's Hospital of Richmond to meet with legislators or their staff members to share information about children's health issues.

Legislative Reception

Each January Children's Hospital of Richmond hosts a Legislative Reception at the General Assembly building as a way to introduce members of the General Assembly and their staff to Children's Hospital of Richmond's services and programs.
