The 11th Annual Virginia Dance Festival to benefit Children’s Hospital Foundation of Richmond will be held at James River High School in Midlothian, Va., on Saturday, January 30, 2010. The event features over 300 dancers performing traditional and cultural dances as well as a silent auction.

Richmond Kiwanis Club and Theatre IV Bring Holiday Cheer to Children’s Hospital Patients

The Richmond Kiwanis Club and Theatre IV will help bring holiday festivities to patients at Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.  The annual Holiday Party is made possible by a donation from the Kiwanis Club of Richmond, which is used to buy gifts for the hospital’s inpatients and day patients.

The books and exclusive plush toys are available for just $5 each at more than 1,000 Kohl’s stores nationwide and online at Kohls.com. Kohl’s will donate 100 percent of the net profits to children’s health and educational opportunities including Kohl’s Dental Outreach Program at Children’s Hospital of Richmond.

Dong’s School Holds Annual Tournament to Benefit Children’s Hospital Foundation

The 38th Anniversary Dong’s Martial Arts Tournament is scheduled for November 7, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LC Bird High School, 10301 Courthouse Road.  As a benefit for Children’s Hospital Foundation, this annual event is a celebration of the true spirit of martial arts.

Child Advocates Honored with Children’s Hospital’s Spirit of Advocacy Awards

Children’s Hospital of Richmond announced the winners of its 2009 Spirit of Advocacy Awards during its annual Advocacy Day program held at the hospital on Sept. 24. Jamie and Kristie Lint were honored with the Family Award, and Jeff Kraus received the Community Partner Award.
